PADDOCK PCS RETURNS, WARRANTY & RMA POLICY
Seller: Paddock PCs LLC (“Paddock PCs,” “Paddock,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)
Website: paddockpcs.com
Warranty / RMA contact: support@paddockpcs.com
This Policy applies to build-to-order PCs and related products purchased directly from Paddock PCs. It works together with our Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy. If applicable law requires a remedy beyond this Policy, we will provide it.
1. Quick summary
Topic
What you get
DOA (14 days)
Dead on arrival, won’t POST, or obvious shipping damage reported within 14 days of delivery — repair or swap at our cost; U.S. inbound shipping covered on approved claims.
Workmanship (1 year)
From delivery: we cover assembly errors, cable / seating issues, and Paddock labor to rework what we built wrong.
Parts
Component failures under a manufacturer or supplier warranty are handled by that OEM/supplier. We help you start the claim.
Not covered
Game performance expectations, software we did not install, and damage from liquid, drops, misuse, or customer mods.
Config
Coverage follows your purchased configuration, not marketing images or renders.
How to claim
Email support@paddockpcs.com — see Section 7.
2. Soft-launch images and purchased configuration
Website photos, renders, and tier imagery on paddockpcs.com are representative. Actual components may vary by availability, generation, and your order confirmation.
Your warranty and RMA rights apply to the configuration you purchased (as shown on your order confirmation / invoice), not to every part pictured in marketing. If a listed part must be substituted before ship, we will note the change on your order paperwork; coverage follows what you were sold.
3. Cancellations and change-of-mind returns
Paddock PCs systems are built to order.
-
Before configuration freeze (see Terms of Sale): you may cancel as described there; refunds follow those terms.
-
After freeze / parts ordered / build begun: cancellations are limited as stated in the Terms of Sale.
-
Completed custom systems: not returnable for change of mind, except where non-waivable law requires otherwise or we agree in writing.
This Policy’s DOA and warranty remedies still apply when a covered defect exists. DOA is not a convenience-return window.
Activated or registered software / OS licenses, custom artwork once started, special-order parts, and services already performed are generally non-returnable except for a covered defect.
4. Limited workmanship warranty (1 year)
4.1 What Paddock covers
For one (1) year from the date of original delivery (or pickup, if applicable), Paddock PCs warrants to the original purchaser that the System will be free from defects in Paddock’s assembly workmanship under normal use. That includes, for example:
-
Assembly errors
-
Improper cable routing or seating attributable to our build
-
Related Paddock labor to diagnose and rework covered workmanship issues
During the workmanship period, if a covered defect appears, we will at our option: (i) repair, (ii) replace with new or functionally equivalent parts or System, or (iii) if repair or replacement is commercially impracticable after reasonable attempts, refund a fair portion of the purchase price. Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, or equivalent. Replaced parts become Paddock property unless law or a written “keep drive” arrangement says otherwise.
Warranty service does not restart or extend the original one-year term, except that coverage on a repaired portion continues for the remainder of the original term (or longer if law requires).
4.2 What Paddock does not cover as “parts warranty”
Independent component / parts failures are covered under the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty terms, not by a separate Paddock parts warranty. During the one-year workmanship warranty period, Paddock can help you troubleshoot issues and assist with starting and filing manufacturer (OEM) warranty claims for parts via support@paddockpcs.com. The OEM or supplier controls and decides those claims; Paddock does not promise OEM approval or repair of parts.
We do not promise to stock every spare, pay OEM shipping beyond what that manufacturer provides, or guarantee OEM turnaround times.
4.3 Burn-in and QA (baseline, not an extension)
Before ship, every System receives a power-on check, stress testing, and a basic functional check. That process sets the baseline that the System left us in working order. Burn-in does not extend DOA or workmanship coverage and does not guarantee that no part will ever fail later. Later issues are handled under DOA or this Limited Warranty if covered.
4.4 Transferability
Warranty coverage is not transferable; it applies to the original purchaser only.
5. DOA — 14 days from delivery
5.1 What counts as DOA
Report within fourteen (14) calendar days of delivery if the System is:
-
Dead on arrival,
-
Will not POST / power on to a usable state under normal setup, or
-
Shows obvious shipping damage attributable to transit of the outbound shipment we arranged.
Email support@paddockpcs.com with your order number, serial number (or clear photo of the tag), description of the issue, photos/video of the problem and packaging when relevant, and what you have already tried.
5.2 What we do on approved DOA claims
For approved DOA claims, Paddock will repair or swap at our cost. For addresses in the United States, inbound shipping to us is covered when you use our authorized label or drop-off instructions. We will also cover reasonable authorized return shipping to you for the repaired or replacement System when the claim is approved.
Cooperate with remote triage. We may ask for simple checks (power cable, monitor cable, clear-CMOS steps we specify, photos) before issuing an RMA.
After the 14-day DOA window, covered issues fall under the 1-year limited workmanship warranty (Section 4) and the exclusions in Section 6. Shipping cost allocation after DOA is described in Section 8.
5.3 Shipping damage on original delivery
Inspect on arrival when practical. For obvious carton or product damage, keep all packaging and report promptly within the DOA window with photos of the outer carton, inner packaging, and damage. Do not discard packaging until we say the claim is resolved. We will coordinate carrier / insurance claims for outbound shipments we arranged and insured, as applicable.
6. What is not covered
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this Policy and the Limited Warranty do not cover:
-
Game or application performance expectations (frame rates, competitive rankings, future titles) beyond any specific written commitment on your invoice.
-
Software we did not install — OS corruption, malware, drivers, games, anti-cheat, or apps you added — and software licensed by third-party publishers generally.
-
Customer damage — drops, spills, liquid ingress, fire, flood, abuse, or similar events.
-
Customer modifications — unauthorized hardware changes, improper installs, or repairs by anyone other than Paddock or a technician we authorize in writing.
-
Power surges, inadequate or excessive electrical supply, faulty UPS/PDU, or improper grounding.
-
Customer overclocking, undervolting, or unsupported firmware / BIOS changes not applied or approved in writing by Paddock (revert to stock settings when we ask).
-
Normal wear (fan noise within normal ranges, thermal paste aging over long periods, expected coolant color change on custom loops if offered).
-
Cosmetic issues that are not obvious shipping damage reported in the DOA window, unless caused by a covered repair we performed.
-
Compatibility wishes for future games or hardware not specified on your order.
-
Customer-supplied parts (manufacturer warranty only).
-
Monitors, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals except as expressly stated on your invoice (typically OEM passthrough only).
-
Data loss, data recovery, or confidential information left on drives returned to us.
-
Systems with removed or altered serial labels or service tags.
-
Unsanitary or hazardous returns (biohazards, infestation, excessive filth) — we may refuse service and return at your expense.
-
Damage from inadequate packing on a return you ship.
-
Consequential losses (downtime, lost profits, event fees) — see liability limits in the Terms of Sale.
-
Fraud, mismatched serials, or products not purchased from Paddock.
Non-waivable rights: Where law limits disclaimers, any implied warranties last only as long as this express Limited Warranty to the extent permitted (including Magnuson-Moss considerations for consumers). See also the Terms of Sale. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages; those limits may not apply to you. This Policy gives you specific legal rights; you may have others under Arizona or federal law.
7. How to start a claim (RMA)
Do not ship anything to Paddock without an RMA. Unauthorized shipments may be refused or delayed at your expense.
Customer steps:
-
Email support@paddockpcs.com with:
-
Order number
-
Serial number and / or clear photo of the issue (and packaging, if ship damage)
-
What you have already tried
-
We triage (remote troubleshooting / diagnostics as needed).
-
If approved, we issue an RMA number and ship label and/or drop-off instructions.
-
You ship or drop off per those instructions (see packing notes below).
-
We repair or replace.
-
We ship the System back to you.
Before you ship: back up and wipe personal data when possible; remove passwords where practical; do not include extra accessories unless we ask. Pack in original or equivalent protective packaging. Mark the RMA as instructed. Keep proof of shipment.
RMA validity: 14 days from issuance. If the window expires, contact us before shipping.
Advance parts (if offered): If we send a replacement part first, return the defective part within 14 days or you may be charged for it and further support may be limited to the extent permitted by law.
No covered defect found: We may charge a diagnostic fee of $59 plus return shipping if no covered defect is found.
Typical turnaround target after we receive the unit: 7–10 business days (parts availability may extend this). Targets are estimates, not guarantees.
8. Shipping responsibility
Situation
Who pays (U.S.)
Approved DOA (within 14 days)
Paddock covers authorized inbound shipping and reasonable authorized return shipping of the repaired/replacement System.
Approved workmanship claim after DOA, during the 1-year term
Customer pays inbound shipping unless we say otherwise; Paddock pays return shipping to the customer on approved warranty repairs in the United States.
OEM / supplier parts claim
Follow that manufacturer’s or supplier’s shipping rules; we help you start the claim.
Outside the contiguous U.S. / international (if we ship there)
Customer pays shipping, duties, and taxes unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Out of warranty / customer-caused / inadequate pack
Customer pays all shipping and any applicable service charges.
Keep original packaging when possible. Replacement packaging, if available: $19.
9. Software and operating systems
OS and software are licensed by their publishers. We warrant our installation workmanship only during the workmanship term (for example, a failed install we performed)—not ongoing software performance, updates, or third-party apps. Activated Windows / OEM keys are non-returnable. Reinstallation after customer software issues may be billable outside warranty.
10. Liquid cooling (if applicable to your build)
-
AIO coolers: Treated like other parts — manufacturer warranty for the cooler; Paddock workmanship for our installation during the workmanship term.
-
Custom loops built by Paddock (if offered): Workmanship (including leak due to our assembly error) covered during the workmanship term. Coolant color change, cloudy fluid over time, and routine maintenance after delivery are expected and not defects. Customer transport without proper preparation, incompatible fluids, or modified fittings voids loop-related coverage. We may require inspection photos before authorizing an RMA.
11. Upgrades and opening the case
Opening the case does not automatically void warranty. However: (a) damage you cause while upgrading is not covered; (b) third-party parts are not covered by Paddock workmanship as “our assembly”; (c) for service, we may ask you to return the System to a workable configuration; (d) major board swaps may affect support — contact us if unsure.
12. Data responsibility
Back up all data before any RMA. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paddock is not responsible for loss, recovery, or confidentiality of data on drives returned for service. Ask us in advance if you need original storage returned instead of retained under any advance-swap program (fees may apply if offered).
13. Out-of-warranty service
We may offer paid diagnosis and repair at $65 plus parts, with a written estimate before billable work beyond diagnosis. Out-of-warranty repairs carry a 30-day workmanship guarantee on the repaired issue only.
14. Limitation of remedies; relation to other policies
Repair, replacement, or limited refund as described is your exclusive remedy for breach of this Limited Warranty to the extent permitted by law. Liability caps and consequential-damage exclusions in the Terms of Sale apply. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights under Arizona or federal law that cannot be waived.
Personal information related to warranty and RMA requests is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Governing law; consumer rights
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where federal law (including consumer warranty law) applies. Venue and dispute-resolution terms in the Terms of Sale apply to disputes arising from purchases and this Policy.
Nothing in this Policy limits non-waivable consumer rights under Arizona or federal law.
16. Policy updates
We may update this Policy for future orders by posting a new Effective Date on paddockpcs.com. Existing warranties for Systems already delivered remain as stated at the time of sale unless law requires otherwise or you purchase an extension we offer in writing.
