Close up PC internals

built by a person, not a production line

Hi, I'm Josh and I started Paddock PCs here in Phoenix, AZ because I kept seeing the same thing: people spending good money on "gaming PCs" that were quietly cut down where nobody looks.

I was 12 when I built my first PC, parts spread across the floor and way too nervous to hit the power button. It booted, and I've been building ever since.

I've built for myself, my friends, and anyone who'd let me. I want every Paddock machine to be one I'd put on my own desk without hesitating. That's the whole standard.

Why "Paddock"

In motorsports, the paddock is where the work happens before the race. Crews set up the car, check every connection, and don't send it out until it's right. Nobody sees that part, but it decides nearly everything that happens on track.

That's how we build PCs. The part list, the plan, the cable routing, the testing: it all happens before your system ever leaves the shop.

WHAT WE WILL NEVER SHIP

This is the part I care about most. A lot of prebuilt PCs look great on the spec sheet and then cut corners in the parts that don't make the headline. Here's what you won't find in a Paddock build:

  • Single-channel memory. One stick of RAM runs slower than a matched pair. It's a cheap way to save a few dollars, and you pay for it in performance. Every Paddock system ships with dual-channel memory at a minumum.

  • Shady power supplies. The PSU feeds every other part in your system. We don't use no-name units or ones rated well below what the build actually needs. We use power supplies from established brands with proven track records, sized with some headroom for future expansions.

  • Mystery-brand storage. Your drives hold your games, your projects, and your life. We use SSDs from known manufacturers, not whatever was cheapest that week.

  • Starved cooling. A fast CPU in a case that can't breathe just runs hot and loud. Every build gets a cooler and airflow setup matched to the chip and the case.

  • Bloatware. You get a clean Windows install with no trial junk and no preloaded clutter. Your PC is yours from the first boot.

If a part isn't something I'd trust in my own machine, it doesn't go in yours.

what sets us apart

You talk to the person building your PC. No call center, no ticket queue. When you have a question, you get a straight answer from the person who actually put your system together.

Every build is tested before it ships. Every system gets a burn-in and QA pass before it leaves the shop. If something's going to act up, we want to catch it here, not have you find it at home.

Honest recommendations. If a cheaper part does the job just as well for how you use your PC, I'll tell you. If you're about to overspend on something you won't notice, I'll tell you that too. The goal is the right build, not the biggest invoice.

Built for how you actually use it. Gaming, streaming, editing, 3D work, sim racing: each one pushes a PC differently. We build around your real workload, not a generic spec sheet.

LET's build yours

Whether it's your first real gaming rig, a workstation that pays for itself, or a sim setup you've been planning for years, I'd love to build it with you.
